Among the most expensive dried fruits, dehydrated dates are considered a natural store of energy, which successfully complements the daily intake of fibre.

Dates are highly nutritious fruits, with a high carbohydrate content. They complement the daily fibre intake by their rich content of magnesium, calcium, sulphur, iron, potassium, phosphorus, vitamins A, B and D, mineral salts, water – about 30%.

The chemical composition of dates is as follows: water – 21,80%, carbohydrates – 78,80%, proteins – 1,90%, lipids – 0,90% and mineral salts – 1,60%. Due to their high energy content, dates have an important nutritional value. When ripe, the fruit is sweet and very aromatic.
