Red Beans Bio

In English it is called “kidney” after the shape of the grains, similar to kidneys. The length of the grains does not exceed 1.5 cm. The same methods apply to boiling the beans as for white beans: after rehydration for at least 4 hours, the red beans are boiled.

The simplest salad recipe combines canned red beans with garlic and pepper. Another recipe often tasted in Mexico includes marinated red beans, chickpeas, onions and white and green peppercorns, sprinkled with vinegar and oil.
